German cadastral map online: official portals and extracts by federal state
Use official map portals for all 16 German states, compare viewer prints with cadastral extracts and choose the document your bank or adviser requires.
On this page
Before ordering a German Flurkarte, ask whether the recipient needs a map image or a particular cadastral extract. A print generated from a state's viewer is not automatically the same product as an extract ordered from its cadastral office. The official offers in Berlin and Bavaria make that distinction concrete.
This guide takes you from choosing the federal state to requesting the appropriate document. It complements the broader guide to cadastral-map searching. Official links and product descriptions checked on 2 November 2026.
Ask for the German document name
Have the bank, planner or adviser specify the required product, coverage, form and currentness. Keep the German name with the English explanation. Translating Flurkarte, Lageplan and every other plan as “property survey” obscures the request.
Prepare the municipality, cadastral district and parcel designation, including any local Flur component. If several parcels are included in the proposed sale, provide the full list. A clear map of the house's parcel may leave the offered access strip or surrounding field unidentified.
Official entry points for all 16 states
These are entry pages, not a promise of identical free layers, login requirements or certified outputs. Look for the state's Liegenschaftskataster, ALKIS or parcel information, and then the appropriate inquiry or ordering function. Read the relevant product description before paying.

Each portal is also listed with the access date in the sources. A preliminary access check may appear for Thüringen; the official InfoLika leaflet describes its document workflow. Bremen's authority publishes its portal and parcel-search function in a dedicated explanation.
Berlin provides a useful distinction
The official Berlin service page states that a non-official print can be created free through the Geoportal. It separately describes applying to the competent surveying office for the required extract.
On the access date, that page lists €16 per sheet for the extract. Optional services have additional rules. Entering boundary lengths is described separately, with an ownership requirement and a time-based charge; it should not be assumed to be part of an unrestricted standard map request s1.
For a limited calculation using the stated base price, two sheets cost 2 × €16 = €32. That is not an all-inclusive quote for additional work. Berlin states an average processing time of two weeks, which should not be described as a guaranteed delivery deadline s1.
To compare the identified parcel with available territorial map layers, open the GrundCheck map. A report costs €29 in one language or €39 in two; read the sample report first.
Bavaria provides a different product and price example
The BayernAtlas FAQ describes its Parzellarkarte as having reduced content. If your adviser asks for a Flurkartenauszug, check the official product page rather than assuming a viewer image fulfils the request.
At the access date, Bavaria lists €25 for an extract up to A3 supplied at the office, and €20 through the GeodatenOnline retrieval route. The description specifies formats and optional services s2. These prices are not a national tariff.
The simple difference between those stated base prices is €5. That saving matters only if the chosen product fulfils the recipient's requirements. Have your adviser confirm whether authentication or another product is needed before choosing a route purely on price.
Turn a map location into a document request
Save the complete parcel designation from the map result. Open the relevant cadastral service's inquiry or product page and check the output's form, map frame, scale and access requirements.
State the intended use in your request. For a building application, ask the commissioned planner which product meets the applicable requirements. Do not replace an identified planning document with a screen capture on the assumption that all maps have the same status.
Ask for costs before commissioning additional work. Berlin's service page provides for a quotation on request and says processing pauses until the quotation is accepted s1. This is a documented option in that procedure, not a promise about every state.
If you are abroad, ask which submission and delivery routes the particular office accepts. The existence of a regional map viewer does not mean that any requested official product can be emailed immediately.
Investigate a missing layer before drawing conclusions
A parcel layer that is not visible may require a different selection, scale or service route. Check the viewer's help and product information. If the map route does not resolve the issue, contact the cadastral service with the complete written identifiers and the required document name.
Do not interpret public map access as permission to obtain any owner's land register extract. Section 12 GBO sets the legitimate-interest framework for register inspection and copies. Map products and legal ownership review remain separate requests.
For your purchase file, record which document you obtained, its date and which offered parcels remain unexplained. A readable PDF cannot fill a gap in the proposed sale's parcel list.
Once you have the correct parcel, select it on the GrundCheck map for an initial review of available territorial information. The sample report shows its scope. This is preliminary screening and does not replace legal advice or a survey.
